Equator College - Autodesk Revit

Autodesk Revit Architecture 2017

Revit® software is specifically built for Building Information Modeling (BIM), empowering design and construction professionals to bring ideas from concept to construction with a coordinated and consistent model-based approach. It includes the functionality of all of the Revit disciplines (architecture, MEP, and structure) in one unified interface.

The course is designed to give you a good, solid foundation in using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software based on the Autodesk Revit Architecture, the world's leading BIM software in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.

In this course, you will learn Revit Architecture from doing a project based on 4 modules: introduction and starting a project, modeling a project, documenting a project and presenting a project. This course will prepare you for the AEC industry that is rapidly adapting Revit Architecture for designing, documenting and presenting a project as an all-in-one CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting) solution. Revit Architecture is a product from Autodesk, the maker of the AutoCAD – the industry standard CAD software. Revit (Rev – revise, It – instantly) is a powerful 2D and 3D modeling tool for instant changes and visualization of a project.
Across the world, AEC and ID offices are quickly embracing Revit for its speed and efficiency. Welcome to Revit.

WONG KOOI KAM (KIM WONG) graduated in B. Sc. (Design Studies) and B. Arch. from Sydney, Australia, and he has been practicing architecture in Malaysia since 1991. He had helped set up and implement AutoCAD for architectural and engineering firms in Penang, in additional to training professionals.
When Revit was introduced to Malaysia in 2004, he was recruited by Autodesk to look into promoting Revit in the architectural and construction industry. He fell in love with Revit since version 6.0. He is currently using Revit Architecture 2015. Many of his works has been published in the RevitCity forum website. In 2011, he was sought out by a London-based architecture-ID-graphic design firm in K.L. to help implement Revit in the office, where he used Revit intensively on commercial and shopping mall projects. In this organization, he assumes the positions of Revit Architect, Revit Trainer, and BIM Manager.
